Mouse Acceleration & True Raw Input Tester
Verify if your mouse tracks with 100% linear 1:1 precision. Lock your pointer, perform rapid swipe sweeps, and detect unwanted Windows acceleration or sensor smoothing curves.
How to Perform the Return Sweep
- Click inside the black box to lock pointer.
- Place a ruler or your phone on the left side of your mousepad as a physical stopper.
- Swipe your mouse quickly to the right (fast flick).
- Move your mouse slowly back to the stopper.
- Pure 1:1 Raw Input: The tracking dot returns precisely to the origin. If it stops far to the left or right, acceleration is active!
Razer DeathAdder V3 (Focus Pro 30K)
Focus Pro 30K optical sensor guarantees 99.8% resolution accuracy with 0% hardware acceleration or spin-out.
Understanding Positive vs Negative Mouse Acceleration
Positive Acceleration: The most common form (enabled by default in Windows as "Enhance Pointer Precision"). When you sweep the mouse quickly, the cursor travels significantly farther than when moving slowly across the same distance. While helpful on tiny office laptop trackpads, it makes building consistent aim muscle memory impossible in first-person shooters.
Negative Acceleration (Sensor Malfunction / Spinout): Found in cheap office sensors or dusty mousepads. When you swipe faster than the sensor's maximum tracking speed (IPS - Inches Per Second), the sensor loses optical tracking and drops counts, causing your crosshair to freeze or spin into the ground.
